[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]200+ applications from almost 20 countries around the world came in, vying for a place in the 2020 Urbantech program. An impressive haul during these testing times. Thank you to all who helped spread the word. And especially of course to those who threw their proverbial hat in the ring.
So many great startups have applied this year, it’ll be extra hard to choose. We’re knee-deep in long-listing, so we can eventually get to the short-listing. This is a rigorous process where we review each application in detail (and to get a feel for the size of the task underway, our graphics expert Corinna has put together a fun quick visualization). The outcome of all of this? 200+ applications will be turned into a long-list of 50 – from which the partners in the program will then select a shortlist of 20. We will announce these at the end of June (so please bear with us meanwhile).
The shortlisted 20 will be invited to our (now virtual) selection days at the end of August. At that time the final 10 will be picked for the Urbantech 2020 cohort.
