Returning to the office is as good an excuse as any to take a fresh look at the calendar for the rest of the year. With so many events switching to virtual, will you attend more, or less?

Berlin Urban Tech Summit

2 September 2020, and a virtual event this year, hosted by Ramona Pop, Senator for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises from Berlin.

UPPSTART

4 September 2020 sees UPPSTART light up online. Free to attend.

“UPPSTART is a virtual tech startup conference that will take place online on 4th September 2020. It is made for entrepreneurs, startups, students, industry professionals and those supporting or interested in the tech startup ecosystem.”

The 15 Minute City

Joint Academy of Urbanism (AoU) and Urban Design Group (UDG) online symposium which will explore this topic, including how the concept is being articulated globally alongside other responses to the pandemic.

Nordic Edge Expo

23 September 2020 – This year Nordic Edge Expo will broadcast directly to you from different stages in the Nordic countries: Stavanger – Oslo – Helsingborg – Copenhagen – Helsinki – Brussels. Be sure to tune in.

Nordic Business Forum: New Normal

24 September 2020 – online event exploring three big questions:

  1. What are the lasting changes going out of this crisis?
  2. What are the skills that leaders need in order to guide their business through and beyond this shift?
  3. How to focus on long term results while dealing with short term crisis?

Virtual World Summit on Digital Built Environment – #WDBE2020

29-30 September 2020 – WDBE brings together professionals of the built environment from the public, and private sector globally. 12 October 2020 – Webit ‘Covid Edition’ will be virtual this year (rather than in Valencia).

28-29 October 2020 sees Building Green return to Forum in Copenhagen. We hope to see you there!

24-25 November in Amsterdam – concurrently with the Artificial Intelligence & Big Data Expo and Blockchain Expo Europe 2020.

Futurebuild

Returns to the ExCel centre in London 2-4 March 2021 – and meanwhile, they have a host of 2020 materials for replay available through Futurebuild Now.

As they say:

AEC Hackathon at BLOXHUB

5-7 March 2021 – annual event that gathers people from all over the built environment. In teams, participants work to find solutions for our cities.

“We believe, that the global challenges of urbanization and climate changes require new ways of thinking. Therefore, we have partnered up with the AEC Hackathon Organization to create AEC Hackathon @ BLOXHUB. Here, engineers, architects, developers, cool nerds, tech experts, design thinkers, anthropologists, and great minds are rethinking traditional patterns and hacking their way into a better urban future.”

Circular City Week New York

22-28 March 2021 -Circular City Week is an open collaborative festival for circular economy related events. Activities during Circular City Week will emphasize how circular practices such as reuse, recycling, and upcycling are transforming urban industries and the city as a whole.

Nordic Business Forum

29-30 September 2021 in Helsinki.

We’ll keep an eye out for more events – including if Techfestival comes back to Copenhagen in due course. Whilst we wait for that, you might find the Copenhagen Catalog useful. It is an almost timeless resource that grew out of an earlier Techfestival.
