A quick Q&A with Torben Klitgaard, the director of BLOXHUB (home of the Urbantech program).
Tell me more about BLOXHUB – and what you’re the most excited about
Together with Rainmaking I’ve been working for a couple of years to get the Urbantech program up and running. We are finally here, and have the pleasure of working with 10 startups that will take the building industry to the next level. Now, as for BLOXHUB, here’s one we made earlier:
What is one little known fact BLOXHUB that you can share?
To me BLOXHUB is an ‘opportunity machine’. A melting pot of private companies and investors, public vendors and cities – all coming here to be inspired, to share knowledge and to scout for the next generation investment.
What is your top tip for visitors to Denmark who are interested in the built environment?
Look for the way we work with sustainable solutions – they are everywhere, and talk to people then you will see and hopefully learn the rather unique way that Danes collaborate and co-create. Co-creation is part of the Danish design DNA. We love that ?
And any recommendations nearby – for when people arrive at BLOXHUB?
Go visit the Danish Architecture Centre. Right now there’s a great exhibition on Bjarke Ingels. His ability to look into a future we all will contribute to, is phenomenal. It’s a must see!
