Tailored mentoring for early-stage Danish startups
Urbantech Mentoring is a world-class mentoring program for early-stage Danish startups within the urbantech space. It aims to strengthen the Danish urbantech ecosystem by supporting 15 Danish startups over an 8 week period from March-April 2021. Startups are matched with mentors from the urbantech ecosystem as well as provided with resources to assist in their startup journey.
As a mentoring program, it has a lighter touch than what you would find in, for example, an incubator program. Thus, allowing you to focus on what is important for your startup right now while providing you with tailored support through experts from the urbantech ecosystem. All with a focus on accelerating the development of sustainable cities.

How long is the Urbantech Mentoring program?
The program will run for 8 weeks – from March 8 to the end of April, 2021.
What is the structure of Urbantech Mentoring?
- The Urbantech Mentoring program kicks off with a pitching event.
- Afterwards, you will be matched with one of our expert mentors through a mentor matching session. Your mentor will provide you with tailored support through 4 sparring sessions spread over the 8 weeks of the program.
- Throughout the program you will have access to additional resources such as a Springboard session hosted by CONNECT Denmark, pitch training and access to a digital training platform from Rainmaking and resources on the strategic use of design from DDC.
- The program ends with another pitching event where the 5 best startups will be selected for an exclusive pitch in front of a panel consisting of our corporate partners and investors to receive tailored expert feedback.
Who can apply?
We imagine that you are a small team of 2 or more founders that are running an early-stage Danish startup working within urbantech (see next point for more information). You should have a Danish CVR number and have done some initial business model and market validation. However, we do not expect that you have any revenue or customers yet.
How do I apply?
You can apply for the mentoring program using this form. The application deadline is February 5th. The application should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
How much time will I need to invest in the program?
We believe that you know best what to spend your time on, so our focus lies on supporting your journey rather than telling you what to do. Therefore, the Urbantech Mentoring Program is a lighter program than what you would find in for example an incubator program. We try to keep program activities at no more than around 3 hours a week.
Where is the program located?
The program uses a hybrid format combining online and offline activities. Offline activities take place in BLOXHUB in Copenhagen. In addition, you will have access to the co-working space in BLOXHUB making it possible for you to sit and work from there during the program should you wish to.
We are monitoring the spread of COVID-19, and have put everything in place to conduct the entire program online, should that be needed.
Will participating in Urbantech Mentoring help me get selected for the main Urbantech program?
Participating in Urbantech Mentoring will not guarantee you a spot in the main Urbantech program. We do, however, encourage you to apply to the Urbantech Program and to use the mentoring program as a chance to get to know Urbantech and prepare yourself.
